Elizabeth New Jersey

Known as both the largest city and the county seat of Union County, Elizabeth New Jersey is the fourth largest city of New Jersey. Founded in 1664 was named after the wife of Sir George Carteret. The city borders Bayonne and Staten Island at one point, Shooters Island. The city holds the striking beauty of the Elizabeth River that gushes through the city for 4.2 miles. One of the most beautiful towns in New Jersey, it has great historical importance as well. It is also the largest city and county seat of the Union County in New Jersey. Being a larger town it has its own benefits of having an entire lifestyle just at one place. Ranked to be one of the greenest cities, it gives a peaceful and home-like vibe. Elizabeth Public Schools are headquartered in Elizabeth, Union County. The schools in Elizabeth serve students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. This district if one of New Jersey’s largest, with a culturally diverse student body. These students come from over 50 countries and speak more than 37 languages. There are many early childhood centers that cater to children from all around the city. Over 31 Elementary and Middle schools cover the student body of the city, catering to the students fully.
